The journey to founding A Star Above Senior Home Care, Inc. didn't start in a boardroom; it started at the bedsides of our own families. We built the agency we couldn't find.
We replaced the "Employee" with the "Caregiver"
Because we saw how much better our own families thrived when they had a motivated companion instead of an employee in a uniform.
We replaced "Silence" with "Transparency"
Because we remember the anxiety of living miles away and not knowing if Mom had actually eaten or taken her medicine.
We replaced "Agency" with "Advocacy"
Because we know that navigating VA benefits and long-term insurance shouldn't be a second tour of duty for a family in crisis.
Our Inspiration
The decision to start A Star Above Senior Home Care was not one we took lightly. We started this journey after 20 years of care for our family with Alzheimer's, emphysema, and lung cancer.
Having been through every level of care and many different homecare companies, we realized the gap between promises made and promises kept can be quite large.
At A Star Above, we foster harmony between elders, their families, and our care team. Our aim is to leave a lasting positive impact on every home we enter. We treat elders as family and every moment of care as meaningful.
Our education, accountability, and genuine compassion defines our ability to care for our elders all while learning valuable lessons from our elders that we may pass to future generations.
